Tradicionalmente shall se usaba con pronombres de la primera persona singular (ej I y we) para formar el futuro, mientras will se usaba con pronombres de la segunda y tercera persona (ej you, he, she, it, they).
I shall be late.
They will not have enough food.
¡Ojo! Tradicionalmente. Hoy en día, se pueden usar indistintamente. Sin embargo, en EEUU, casi nunca usamos shall para el futuro más.
El único caso en el cual usamos shall es para dar sugerencias y ofertas super formales.
Shall we go to the movies?
Shall you buy the laptop?
Shall we dance?
Olvida de shall, no es importante. Si lo escuchas, es porque la persona quiero ser dramático o es presumido.
